Tungsten
is not only one of the heaviest metals found in the earth,
it is extremely hard and wear-resistant and has excellent
strength at high temperatures. As a result, it is used in
many diverse applications - ranging from heat-resistant
light-bulb filaments to wear-resistant machine tools to
heavy radiation shields. Chemical producers also use tungsten
as a catalyst while glass, ceramic, and dye producers use
tungsten as a pigment and coloring compound.
Products
for Tungsten Users
Stratcor,
Inc. specializes in supplying the tungsten products used
in these various applications. Included is ammonium
paratungstate - the product used to produce high-purity
tungsten metal used in tungsten-metal and tungsten-carbide
components. Stratcor also supplies high-purity tungsten
metal for these applications.
For
producers using tungsten as a catalyst or coloring compound,
Stratcor offers tungsten
blue oxide.
All
of these products are produced in the United States according
to strict ISO production standards.
