STRATEGIC MINERALS RELOCATES ITS HEADQUARTERS

Hot Springs, Arkansas; January 1, 2010 — Effective today, the headquarters of Strategic Minerals Corporation will be located at its vanadium operations in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where the company has a plant and a technology center. Previously, the company was headquartered in Danbury, Connecticut.

Strategic Minerals, part of the Evraz Group, is a major producer of vanadium alloys and chemicals for the steel, chemical, and titanium industries. The company has two subsidiaries:

Stratcor, Inc., also based in Hot Springs, produces vanadium alloys and chemicals in the United States and markets these products worldwide through its Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania sales office.

Vametco Alloys Pty. Ltd., based in South Africa, produces Nitrovan^® vanadium for steel producers worldwide.
