New Sales Manager Named for Vanadium Alloys Used in Steel

NEW SALES MANAGER NAMED FOR VANADIUM ALLOYS USED IN STEEL

DANBURY, Connecticut, November 3, 2008, — Anthony T. Mologne has been named Sales Manager for the vanadium alloys that Stratcor, Inc. sells to the steel industry. Stratcor, Inc., whose sales office is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a subsidiary of Strategic Minerals Corporation, part of the Evraz Group of Russia.

In his new position, Mr. Mologne will handle sales of Stratcor® ferrovanadium, Nitrovan® vanadium, and Vanox^TM vanadium that provide strength, hardness, and other properties to steel, especially the high-strength grades used in construction and transportation. These vanadium products are sourced from the Evraz Group's ores, slags, and other secondary sources found throughout the world. Processing takes place in the facilities on four continents belonging to Strategic Minerals, the Evraz Group, and its partners.

Mr. Mologne brings 18 years of experience in steel sales and marketing to his new position. As Sales and Marketing Manager for two major U.S. mini-mills, he was responsible for the commercial sales of long and other steel products to the U.S. and Latin American markets. He was also Managing Member of a steel-wire importer and distributor that served North American customers. He is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pa. with a B.A. degree in business management.
