STRATCOR, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW SALES AND MARKETING POSITIONS

DANBURY, Connecticut, June 20, 2008, Richard P. Wiesler has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for the vanadium alloys and chemicals marketed by Stratcor, Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Included are Stratcor® ferrovanadium and Nitrovan® vanadium used by the steel industry as well as Stratcor® vanadium-aluminum and vanadium chemicals used by the titanium and chemical industries.

In addition, Kenneth D. Zenkevich has been appointed Director of Marketing Services, a new position responsible for marketing and customer-support activities.

Stratcor, Inc. is a subsidiary of Strategic Minerals Corporation, part of the Evraz Group, a major mining and steel producer in Russia.

Mr. Wiesler has been involved in the sales-and-marketing activities of Strategic Minerals, and its predecessor Union Carbide, since 1976. During his career, he has sold a broad range of ferroalloys to the metals industry, including vanadium and tungsten. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy with a B.S. degree in engineering. He also received an M.S. degree from American Technological University. Before his new assignment, he was Operations Manager for the Stratcor, Inc. Pittsburgh office.

Mr. Zenkevich joined Strategic Minerals in 1995 and has been involved in the sales and marketing of specialty products used by the chemical and titanium industries. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and an M.B.A. in Marketing. He had been Director of Sales and Marketing for Stratcor® specialty products in Pittsburgh before accepting his new position.
